End of Quarter

Leaves rustle upon the ground
California's December like Virginia's fall
Not many people to be found
So few contacts I could call
Potential brimmed at quarter's start
New beginning, time for change
Hope found comfort in my heart
That I'd soon learn new names
But nothing's ever as I dream
And life just takes its course
And solitutde was meant for me
So it won with it's force
I must believe I am alone
In thinking as I may
For I do not want to go home
I'd really rather stay
For one more class
For one more laugh
For one more interaction
But off I'll go
Across the map
For my past's satisfaction
That I've come home
Gone back in time
To moments I've moved on from
But that is just
What I must do
To prove to them I love them
For at least
They are there
Unlike the others
Who passed by me each day
That I interacted with
Who upon each quarter's end
I never really see again

Affirmation

For every rejection I say: your loss.

For every defeat I say: watch me.

For every tear I say: I will laugh harder.

For every mean word heard I say: a kinder one.

For every fear I say: you won't stop me.

For every disappointment I say: I have hope my dreams will come true tomorrow.

For any struggle that exists for me throughout this Universe I say:

I will *always* rise.

I will rise so high that I will touch the clouds in the sky.

And I will sit upon one and relish in the unlimited greatness of my spirit and mind.

For any imperfection I say: You're an illusion. I was created in the image of this magnificent Universe, and I am it expressing itself as a human, and I am angelic and divine.

For I can change the world and be my best self.

Who shall stop me.
